    Default Flooded lake fishing report

What's up with the tiny trickle of fishing reports? Let's go guys, step it up. All I have is a lame report here but what the heck.

I was itching to get out Saturday.....no wait, check that. I was itching to get out Friday after work but my recon trip of the lake showed it about 5' high from the recent heavy rains. The water was murky but I could see a good foot of visibility and decided it would be fishable the next morning. So I went home and leisurely got my gear and minitoon ready to hit it the next day.

Next morning I arrived back at Chris Green Lake and found the water level had dropped a good 4' overnight. I was amazed. It is actually a reservoir with a spillway that must work pretty good. But there was still a lot of floating debris like logs, 4x4s and leaf litter. But I could tell the morning breeze was going to push it away which it did soon enough. And it was interesting to see the water temp dropped from 80 earlier in the week to 65 this morning.

The bite was slow...sloooow....slowwwww. I should have known better. I pushed minnows, I trolled jigs, I dropped jigs, I cast jigs...could not find any concentrations of fish. They had been shallow on beds a few days earlier but not today. By noon I had caught maybe 5 fish, most coming on slow trolled jigs in 6 - 8 FOW.

Went home around noon and cut the grass
