    Default Weekend at Philpot.

I finally made it out to fish Philpot. I been wanting to for years. Got my first Walley and it was a good one!

    Thanks FishDoc for the Advice!!

I never did find any crappie but the smallmouth / large mouth and walley kept me busy!

There are a lot of fish like that in Whitehurst. Sure wish we still had access to that lake.

we've caught over 5,000 walleye from Philpott in the last 15 yrs. give it a try in August, that's usually our best month, but sometimes, July is best,,, but then agin, June has been a good numbers month before..in other words, the hotter the hotter...Glad ya had such a great trip!!! we still catch the occasional trout there also. my biggest was an 8 lb 12 oz Brown!
