    Default Bluestone, Friday

we caught over 100 crappie flatline trollin with kalin twistertails in 8-12fow, 4-5 ft deep. had 36 nice keepers, biggest was a little over 13 inches. most were white crappie that had not spawned. fast trollin was workin a lot better than titeline trolling. the folks fishin minnows around us couldn't believe we were catchin them without minnows! but when the water temp gets up to 60, its time to leave the minnows at home.

I had a good day long lining yesterday also but I have to say the bigger fish were caught on minnows. Had 3 over 15" and several more between 13" and 14". Fished by myself so no good pictures to post.

Val, I figured he'd be too busy cleanin crappie to go turkey huntin! Gene, it's been the tuffest spring for consistant catches I can remember. Dave, we had a great time! Not many good days so far this yr, hoping it gets better soon!
