Here today, gone tomorrow. I guess that pretty well sums up crappie fishing. I also read long ago that crappie fishing was awful simple or simply awful, I've sure had plenty of both over the last 2 weeks. After going through a long dry spell it seemed like everything turned my way and I was catching big fish and lots of them every day I went. Then BAM, just like that all the big fish were gone and only a few small dinks remained. Oh well now to figure out where they went. I think I know but only time will tell. Guess that's why I love to fish, it's not always the catching it's the figuring them out that day. I was on a strong shallow water bite but it seems the big females have moved out to get ready for the spawn. Fish were in 2 to 4 FOW and some days they liked jigs and some days minnows. Last few trips have only resulted in a few hand size crappie and even zeroed out at Sandy River yesterday. Here are a few pictures of my recent trips. Enjoyed them all, even when the fish didn't show up. Now to find them big girls again.

That sure is some nice looking fish. And a pretty lake as well. Where were yaw fishing?
Really nice. That is a big gill. I went right by that one and didn't even see that it was a bluegill.

Those are some nice fish there, Roy. Thank you for posting!
Great pictures Roy, looks like at least one of those big slabs is 3lbs or close. Miss Dell is getting to be quite the fisher woman. Thanks for posting.
