New Mitchell 308 Pro Review.
It's smooth as silk, must say though the turn of the handle isn't as effortless as my pflueger president. The 10 ball bearings in combination with the halo wrap around the spool design really gives it a solid feel. It's rated for like 135 yd of 8, I spoiled it with hi vis vicious 6 lb Maybe 150-165 yds. The EVA handle kinda had me questioning its longevity. However it is made with a solid stiffer piece of Eva than I expected. I do like it but only time will tell. This reel was $69.99 I only purchased a reel for UL that expensive due to a gift card I had, and Mitchell's excellent legacy.
I caught 14 yesterday on the BW river, 12 of them were with the new Mitchell, one of which was 1-3oz and the drag was smooth as can be. Paired up nicely with my 6' cabelas classic UL. I would recommend this reel. Still like my president but that light pale blue isnt my favorite.

Really nice, back when I was a little feller a Mitchell was the "ONLY" reel to use. Cut my teeth on one that a man that lived across the street from us gave to me. He taught me how to fish. Worms and a cork, clear water lake in California. Never forgot him or that reel. I know what you mean about that Pflueger. I have one that is a bait caster. What a dream.
