Picked up minnow at Meade fish station. Fished this afternoon with son. Started at front end of stump field and worked our way toward landing. After three hours had three crappie caught deep and released a 23 inch pickerel shallow. Finally figured it out at front of lake. The fish did not want minnows on our jigs. Cajun cricket was by far the best producer. Caught 22 in a hour. Fish were mostly just over 10 inches with a couple 11 and a couple 9.5. Depth 25 to 28 feet. Water temp 52. I enjoy fried crappie almost as much as sea bass and flounder!

Did you fish Meade or move over to Prince? I saw far more trailers at Prince than I did at Meade. Once we found a good spot out of the 25 mph winds we did pretty well in some deep holes. What is a Cajun Cricket? I never fished one of those.

    Happy Fishing

We fished Burnt Mills. Bait was Bobby Garland baby shad in Cajun cricket (orange) which out fished white, blue and pink.
