    Default mattaponi crappies

Great day. Jigs caught most. BGBS. Two ringers. Tide had to be moving for them to bite well. Water was 38 to 42 degrees. Caught bout 50. Kept bout 30. Biggest at 14 in.

Great news! Where did you go, Aylett? I've been busy with moving, cleaning, etc. One more weekend and I'm on the water.

Downriver from aylett. Deep bends close to shallow water flats. Caught titeline and bottom rigs. And a bunch casting jigs when we found em schooled up. Look for spoils or eddys and we find em. First trip to this river to fish for crappie. Fish had the red worms in em too. No worries though. Seen them before. Taste fine and still here to talk about it.

I fished it mon. no sun, no fish. one 4" brim, one 12 1/2" crapie, even fished a bottom rig with shrimp while casting in 2 or 3 locations, not a nibble.

Good Job, I think I need lessons!!!
