    Ventured forth today and to my amazement the Dead Sea is in Suffolk.

    There's an arm of that sea in Lanexa, too. Diascund was a B&W for me today.

    Worse, I have seen pic's of lots of dead speckle trout in our area..
    NC closed their speck fishing till June(?), Don't doubt Va should follow.. ( Just when I was starting to learn about specks)
    Good thing crappie know have to survive this cold!

    I have not heard anyone say for sure but I bet last week down here You could have gone to the Pungo river with a dip net and picked up all the dying trout that You wanted.CF

    CF, I talked to two older gentlemen at the ramp first thing Sunday morning, and one of them told me his son had gone to the Alligator Saturday. He said there were thousands of trout floating all over the place. About a week ago, the PQ had a lot of trout between the two bridges from what the netter told me, but I never saw any of those floating. Maybe they made it to deeper water before the cold snap hit hard. Tootsie Roll
