    Default Frozen Rivers.

Went by Northwest this am and not one boat. River is frozen. All the creeks in Currituck are frozen.

The Chick is frozen shore to shore below Walkers. I drove back from a job in Maryland yesterday, taking route 301. Here are the river conditions as I crossed them: Potomac at Harry W Nice Bridge- open at the power plant but large ice flows in the main river. Rappahanock at Port Royal- Frozen over. Pamunky and Mattaponi-upper reaches frozen over. Chick at Bottoms Bridge-frozen over. The good news: We whould have a good Yellow Perch run when the ice goes out.

I guess I posted too soon. I just looked out back and there is someone in a crappie boat working their way through the ice (Chick below Walker's). His Cabin Fever must be really bad. The ice is making some really neat noises as this guy breaks his way through. I don't plan on joining him, but I hope he has a good day to reward the effort!

A few years back, George and I put in at Bob's and broke the ice. Oh what a eerie sound that is. When I came back home this afternoon one track buy no empty trailers. Rivers and creeks still frozen in Gods Country.
