Hows the Nanofil doing?
I am getting ready to switch out some line on speck/redfish rods. I remember several here trying nanofil out.
How is it holding up?

Nanofil is the shet for spinning gear.... casts a mile, doesn't have memory....love it. If you don't use a braid spool then put mono backing on first cuz it will slip on the spool without it. The only negative I see is it is not very abrasion resistant so don't use it around brush without
Fluorocarbon leader...but I use the leader anyhow. Tie knots for slick line etc.

I'm sold on the Nanofil for spinning gear, and it's a good thing because it is expensive as all get out. It's all I have used for the past year on my ultralight jig rods (6lb.). I now have it on my bass jigging rod (14lb.) It holds up over time with very little twist, like a previous writer said, it casts a mile. What I like most is tht I can trust it to hold up all day without wind knotting and forcing me to put on a new spool. I agree that you should use some backing. If for no other reason than to hold down the cost of using this line. Smaller reels also help in this respect.
