#4 for 1/48,1/32,1/24 or #2 for 1/24,1/16,3/32, & 1/8 that's my go-to's... Jigs look great! Try laying your flat waxed with the loose end hanging off the hook (tail end) hold it in place with your finger take your bobbin and lay a course starting at the back of the head all the way to the point of the hook (right before the bend of the shank) then back to the head... This will give you a good base so that your hair will not roll on your hook.. Also when you put your hair on make 3 or four wraps loosely before you start to ease alittle tension on the thread. Not a doubt in my mind those will catch fish though... Also try out artic fox hair, kip tail, or craftfur being my favorite... Has a lot more action in the water, almost pulsates. 1/48 works well for me on calm days or early am. But in winter with N winds I usually go to 1/24 at the lightest
