    any input appreciated.....personally I know it works offshore ...........

    The few times I've fished freshwater at night I carried my sword light. The conclusion I've came to is we don't have the water clarity for it to be effective( in my limited experience). I could barely see the light 2' under the boat, and didn't get any bites. You guys that fish deep lakes will probably do better. I was using it on small rivers and lakes that never really "settle".

    with hours gettin short we normally float some lights and do well. I have been a machinist millwright for over forty years think I'm on to something with the flip of a switch now that we have LED tech. I can weld a screw in reciever for the modified light all I am giving up. ...
