I am planning on fishing the North Landing River (NLR) on Saturday so I took a ride out to West Landing Marina to check out the water level and found my former employer working on the channel markers.

The black boats in the Coast Guard primarily work on aids to navigation, a job I never wanted. I stayed on the larger cutters which did everything but aids to navigation. It's interesting to see such large boats and barges on the water, but then, the NLR is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.
