Default My Diascund string of trips with citations...

CONTINUED today!! That make 6 consecutive trips that this lake has given up at least one paper-worthy
fish of one species or another. Today, it was this 16" crappie!

This beauty was mixed in with lots and lots of smaller fish in a shallow warm cove. The bite was so intense
that I had to switch from floating minnows to longlining jigs (and grubs on bare hooks.) Blaze orange and chartreuse
were popular, but just about anything would work.

Today was a mixed bag of weather. Dawn was very pleasant with no wind.

Soon, it was hot and windy. Late afternoon produced a big ugly thunderstorm, so I cut the day short and got out while it was easy.

    For the day: total specks = 118, total keepable (10"+) = 15

Yep, I landed in the middle of them minutes after we talked. Please feel free to call every time I go fishing!

That's what its all about, you wait for those times when it all comes together. Just when you are ready for a nap, those buggers will ruin it
