Hay Bennett why are some of those fields of sage white and some purple? Perry is a well know name in that part of the country. My mom was from Hobbsville NC and have heard her mention that name a few times. WOW now that's a blow out was that tire shop there in Sunbury able to help you out or where you a smart man and had a spare? When i was passing through that way Thursday morning around 630 am they were unloading those bee houses. Guess they do it before the bees wake up.

I don't think a plug will work on that one.

I think when they first bloom, they are white. Once they pollinate they turn purple. It is that or different varieties. I am not a sage grower but just about everyone around me is. I don't like the market. One buyer, all demand is overseas, no market transparency. You get 20 percent of total harvest money at harvest in June. The back 80 percent is given almost the following spring. By then, You are in another crop year and hung again. If something happens to them, the growers will be last to know and many will be hung on their last 80% and a full 100% of another crop. Sage is a very expensive crop to grow and getting hung on two crops will bankrupt You faster than anything. Until changes are made, NO THANKS.CF

You might need to beef up the suspension a bit.

CF, I think you are right about the color. Most of it around home is white when it blooms then a few days later starts to turn purple. Don't know why anybody would want to tie up land as long as it takes to get it harvested.... much less the wonderful aroma. I have been lucky so far. About the nearest any of it has been to my house is a half mile across the woods. I would hate to think I had that smell to deal with for a month about time it was getting good and hot.

Been catching some white perch around home. Went Sunday and did pretty good. Even caught a few crappie in the process. That being said, you got any extra pink heads? I'm low, real low.
