are biting too. We got on the river yesterday for our first trip this year. They ain't crappie but crappie ain't all that swims or tugs. The smallmouth were in a bad mood, attacking our baits with ferocity. They were beginning the spawn mode and mad at amything that came close. Rocks and gravel bottom areas all held multiple fish of decent size. We ended up with at least 25, 10 inches to over 18. Flow was pretty good and a mad smallmouth in the current is what its all about. We threw them all back. Windy day but the river is the best place to go in the wind. Hope to get back after them tomorrow and even give the musky plugs a few casts. Good luck if you get to go.........
We had one fish a little bigger than this one. we left them biting, I hate to do that.
