    Default Gaston, 2 fish

Went to Gaston today ,stayed about 3 hours ,caught 2 ,the worst I can remember, left home this morning not hurting too bad ,by time I got to lake I was hurting bad but tried to fish .Well I could not stand up or set down for pain, fish a while then pull in a pocket and laid on back for 1/2 hour ,felt a little better so tried it again but by time I got to fish again the pain was bad again ,the water was too high to get under many docks and could not hold rod still enough to shoot, but could tell most fish had back off and I did not feel like searching for them.Well the pain got so bad I left and let wife drive boat back and load it and drive home, and by the way we made it, LOL , hope wife do not read this, just kidding ,I taught her how to drive boat and back trailer, many years ago, told her she may need to ,well I was right one time, this year looks like everything is trying to stop me from fishing ,bronkis all of march with cancer,April with shingle and cancer but if possible and the Lords help still will try again. Was going to meet Roy tomorrow but wife said after today ,best not, thanks guys for your prayers, and good fishing ,will be trying again as soon as possible , I thought that when I retired I would fish when I wanted to but see that is not always the case

    Gene,

"I thought that when I retired I would fish when I wanted to but see that is not always the case".

I thought the same thing when I retired but my health shut me down for 6 years. Now, however, the Lord has blessed me and I'm gaining strength and able to fish again. It's not always easy, but I hope & pray that better days are ahead.

You are in my prayers every day. I know what a let-down it is to try to get on the water and find out that you just can't handle it, and have to give it up and try again another day, but don't you ever give up; the Lord will answer our prayers when he is ready. Remember - - - we're here on His terms, not ours. The tough times are to strengthen us.

PM me any time if you need to talk.

    Bruce

Thanks guys for your prayers, my faith has not been weaken ,I taught through the bible verse by verse for 30 years and understand that testing will come and go but God will always be with His children ,it's just a battle having cancer ,shingle pain and see nice days and wanting to fish but hurt too much,a little disappointing, I understand its all in Gods hand and I always say Your will be done ,but being human do I mean it? Only God knows
