Fished Buggs again this weekend.
Big storm there on Friday with air Temps dropping 20degrees so fishing was not the same as last weekend but still OK.
Water temps were low 70s on Sat but fishing was much slower far keeper fish only got 15 over 10in and only 1 15in about 30 over all. Sun water temps down to mid to upper 60s numbers improved but size did not only 6 over 10 but probably 30 in the 4-6 inch range.
We fished bluestone and sandy creeks both days with most keepers coming from bluestone on docks and flooded brush. Used pearl and chart grubs, blue/white tubes on both 1/32 and 1/16 oz heads. Keepers came from laydowns and brush in 4-6 FOW but small fish were shallower. We did troll some but had minimal luck. Did see one monster 3lber caught trolling crankbaits right behind where we were fishing a dock.
BTW Gene and Keith I have completely lost my touch shooting docks need lots of practice but did like the 51/2 cherrywood rod that I picked up at wally world thanks gene. I think i might want to try something a little longer but will have to play with it.
All and all good weekend just wish the temps would not have dropped and weather would have been a little more stable I think that Friday storm and temp drop had the big girls tight to cover. Looking back I probably should have tried deeper brush piles but just dont know where enough of them are yet.

Thats always the story every spring. just when ya got'em pegged the weather will surly mess it up an ya get to start all over agin. but the dock bite is the least affected by the weather. ya just gotta keep movin an re-fishin docks to find'em.
I guess it is just pick a section of the lake hit it and then hit it again got it!
GO VOLS AND TITANS!!!!!
Yes, many times the docks that don't produce in the AM are the ones ya get the bigguns off of in the PM. Sun position seems to be the determinin factor.
I am probably headed there again this weekend will try it out. Do the depths and make up of the dock change by season? IE do you fish shallow docks now and deeper docks in the summer or ones with covers on them etc... I guess the question is how do you pick your docks?
