After I called Chris, I really wanted to let some here know that Anna is really starting to turn on and see if anyone else is thinking of going..
And Yep, my son fishes with me 5-6 times a yr. ( he really loves rockfishing, but it often conflicts with is hunting) Even comes by house just to BS once or twice a mth!

Diecutter, we went today. Only about 5 hrs. My son put it to me! He caught all the crappie , guessing @ 15 at 9-10". We also landed 10 or so channel cats and 2-3 bream.
Water was stained from rain ( pretty clear at marina) and most crappie guys where not happy (several Maryland and PA boats lots of boat traffic) The females were still in staging areas. Learned some new water today and found a brush pile or 2. Put in at Anna point and fished next creek/cove west of ramp, forgot name?? Son waited till we got back to Richmond before he said he would fish again tomorrow!! Man, I would have stayed till dark and rented room at lighthouse inn on the lake!!! Were planning on Thursday or Friday for next trip.

BTW, we tried to keep only males, but when I cleaned the fish,,,, in my wife's newly renovated kitchen ,,,, I noticed a couple of fish I thought were males because their belly's were thin, turned out to be females with eggs,, there eggs were no were near ready to lay! Also no fish were in tux. I forgot highest WT but do remember seeing 64.5. 98% were caught in 8-15fow on minnows- jigs only caught small bream- opposite of my last trip!
Parking lot was FULL! Ramp was 4-5 boats at a time.
