Moderated Forum

I'm sure all of you have by now seen the moderated forums on some of the states. After talking with some of the mods for those states it appears to be working very well for them. For those that don't know this would be a place where ONLY fishing reports would go and they have to be approved before the post is entered. Since you have to be a logged in member with at least 25 posts (this is not debatable), people can go in to more detail about their fishing trips and not worry about lurkers taking advantage of the info they post. Sure its not perfect but it can get us back to giving out a little more info like we use to.

This is a simple yes or no poll and I will go with the majorities wishes.

Keep in mind even if it is voted to have the forum you do not have to use it. You can continue to post just like you are now.

CG you have made fishing reports in the past, i wouldn't consider you a lurker, don't be a stranger.. I believe the "lurkers" everyone refers to is the ones who never register, just check the reports for any scraps the ones who do catch fish leave behind. This is a forum for learning... But a lot of people here have a lot of time and patience invested in figuring the patterns/locations of the fish... Just don't want 12 random strangers sitting ontop of your favorite hole on the next outing. If I see some (a select few) that post here, it's no problem, we usually pull up along side and talk and fish awhile.

speaking as a somewhat of a newbie to crappie.com... i cant speak enough great things about this website! everyone on here has been so helpful and friendly! i do however see a need to keep things that way without a ton of "lurkers" stealing information and not returning the favor. not voting yes or no... just saying thank you to all of you faithful crappie.com-ers!

Who wouldn't want to be a part of something to help you learn and share info about fishing? If someone has the ability to "lurk" or "stalk" this site without being a member is ridiculous. Thanks to CDC I have made friends and shared info I couldn't get from anywhere else.
