Charlie, never been to BDR. Is there a horsepower restriction there, or can you even use a gasoline motor at all?

Mike, its a trolling motor only lake. JimB , TP, or any of you regulars) if you decide to go, PM before be glad to give you tips, some have been given to me by people that have guided there for yrs! I do feel the fish are on the move but most are still in tight schools. The big fish caught was just about ready to bust open any minute! Others had eggs but were not close to ready. None of the males showed tux ,scraped fins, etc. I had planned to fish today but winds kept me off water. I have to go back to Richmond tomorrow but plan to leave my boat here, so when weather permits -- next good day (next week?) I don't have to drag boat from richmond...
Oh, and about weeds, I have only fished BDR @3yrs.. but weeds now are not as bad as last yr, or yr before during this mth of yr. I tried casting jig out , but letting it touch bottom is out (in less than 15 fow) . A couple I times I put a road runner out when moving from one spot to another, I did hang some broken off/drifting SAV each time (and a good sized pickeral). Each time we dropped anchor we pulled up a large PILE of SAV!

Thanks Charlie. Looks like the weather will be normal this Sunday, cold and rainey.
