Hit a private pond in Suffolk yesterday. Slow day but managed a dozen and a couple of bass. Only one decent size crappie around 11-12". Did have what I can only guess was a decent largemouth that broke my 6 lb test. Used silver ghost panfish assassin baby shad on 1/16 oz. No pics as nothing was worthy of digging out the phone. Did see some type of bugs hatching all day. They would float up and fly away all around us. Birds were waiting for them. Hope this warming trend continues.

I also hit a private pond today, I also noticed a hatch, funny thing is all 30 or so crappie I caught were on the bottom in 10 fow, and get this half of em was caught with intentions for shell crackers, I've never caught so many crappie on worms in my life. I only had one cracker and three bluegill three bass and one 3-4lb cat. Made for a decent cooler full.
