Thread: Three trips to Buggs this year

While setting here I look back to see how well I did fishing Buggs this winter when each post I was reading said fishing was so bad .went once in first of Jan and twice in feb with a total of 180 fish with one of those days mostly checking out SI, adverage of 60 a trip and 2-15 inch and 1 -16 inch. The thing about it I found a few school that I thought I would have gone to last week or this week before surgery but was hit with another blow Wed when I and wife came down with bad virus and bro choirs ,now hope to recover in time for surgery on 12 , o well looks like I will leave them for you guys LOL. They were caught on green stinger jigs.i know many say to catch them in winter one must have minnows but I must have read that book too late and too old to change even though I know if you troll now that minnows is the way to go ,but I do very little trolling

Thanks guys,i know that buggs is in a class of its own ,i was only referring to buggs post and friends that had gone there. A lot of the catching that i do is only because i know the 2 creeks well that i mostly fish, i believe many of you given the same opportunity would do just as good some better. Fishing is a skill that most can do if they devote there time to it. Oh george i was intending to fish your part of buggs eastland all of last half of march but now that has been cancel,it from last years fishing seems to have a lot of big crappies in it.wish you guys could fish it more because i read your reports and have no clue where you are fishing but read them to keep intouch with you guys. I amit i see some nice places, i much rather fish in my 14 john boat in a small lake with no to small motor only,but my part of the world we do not have any, they are private or much farther than buggs. That's why i went to big lakes because no one in 80 miles will let you fish in their private lake or pond
