    Default Meade 3/2

Froze again today. Slept in (my birthday!) and got on the lake around noon and left at 5. Can't remember when I've gotten as cold two days in a row. We managed 52 (37 and 15) and some were pretty nice. Biggest 14" and several 12+". All were deep and most on a curly tailed grub. They wanted it real slow and I put the grub on for a little tail action with the s-l-o-w retrieve. Looks like I might not get out for awhile judging from the weather predictions.

Good job man. I couldn't do it today -- that first breath outside said no way. At least you did sleep in nice report on Meade

It had to be cold out on the water. But nice catch.

Great report!!! I was hopeing someone would find the bigger crappie in mead. Looks like your doing a good job. I think i saw you on Cahoon last sunday. I was in a blue and white f/g boat fishing by the first under water bridge. After seeing your picture on another post I'm sure that was you. Again good job on finding those winter specks. Not sure I've really "found" the bigger ones in Meade. I have caught 5 or 6 14" fish since I started fishing Meade. I've located several places that are holding significant numbers of fish and on average they are nice, but one day I think the "bigger fish" are moving into one of those areas and next trip nothing over 12". I know there are some nice ones in there and sooner or later I'll catch 'em. I'm trying to concentrate a little more on learning my way around Cahoon. That is what I was doing when you saw me, just poking around "sampling" the water and finding a few places that hold fish. See you on the water, next time stop and chat.
