    Default Cahoon 2-27

Did I listen to the weather man? he said sunny, I did not see the sun but for 5 min. I was so under dressed, no coat and I froze all day. Not only that but the tunnel was blocked by a log jammed inside?? So we hunted all day and ended up with nothing. Not a single bite. Today the formula did not add up No one else on lake.

I had the same experience on western branch today. Had one bass and once the wind really got going i left. Something with the weather really had the fish turned off.

Thats Cahoon for ya. I have been fishing this lake for a long time and have found it can be really good or tuff. I fished there sunday with no luck. I never made it to the tunnel thinking the fish are not back there yet. I did try creek mouths and worked the points with no success. Even after a lousy day I'll still go back. You gave it a great effort. See ya on the water.

I think the date is off should be 2/28? I fished Cahoon too caught 10 and 1 small bass (2 were 12" the rest10 to9) . Speks were scattered no more than 1 per spot. The fish were right on the bottum in 20+feet. Note, the jig had to be right on the bottum, tightlining even 18" off bottum produced nothing. Had to cast and wait for jig to hit bottum. As mentioned earlier the weatherman was wrong about sun and temp but right about the wind it howled and limited the spots that I could fish.

Yep it was 2-28 Thursday. We dragged the bottom, got slimed but no bites. Could not even locate them with the bottom machine.
