Default first trip of the year

had my buddy paul go with me for my 1st outing of the yr. did pretty good with 19 fish taking a ride to paul's house. the biggest was 13.5", only 2 at 10", and the rest averaging 12". found them hugging the bottom so tight that they had mud on their fins. wt @ 41* fishing in 16-20fowName: 009.jpg

good report! I had an old guy trying to tell me the other day they dont sit on the bottom they suspend, then goes into the spiel about how there mouths are angled up and their eyes are on top of their head... I caught a couple not too long ago 28 ft deep with mud on their fins. That is a pattern I figured out 5 years ago on a private pond they sit 14 ft deep dragging their fins in the mud... Ill drop a jig to the bottom and reel once or twice and let it hang.

Sorry not trying to hijack your thread. Just rambling...
