Default For Indian Town Fishing Folks

There is a bait and tackle within minutes of the IT ramp. It's been there for 2 yrs now and run by a retired Navy LDO. Real nice shop that caters to the pan fisherman/woman. Minnows, poles, reels, jigs...lot's of goodies in there. Pretty handy to have if you're out and about that way and need something.

I thought inquiring minds would want to know.

Bill..I've been driving to work on the same road for 14yrs and did not know South Mills Rd from 343 to 168 is also called Old Swamp. The beauty of living in the sticks.

I dont know the owner but have bought a few things from him over the past couple of months. Seems to be a real nice guy and has a decent selection considering where he is located.

Approaching from the east on Hwy 158 (Shortcut Road), continue on 158 a mile or two past your S. Indian Town Road exit where the boat ramp is located. Bait Barn is right off 158, on your right, red roof, signs say live bait. They are closed on Mondays. The only guy around here that has live eels....if for some bizarre reason you would fish for stripers or big catfish.
