    Default north west river

got to bob's at sunrise. headed out to find the further i went down river the water was very stained. i found some fish on a point in 10 to 12 ft of water close to bobs that i have seen a regular fish their all the time. i put out three wammy poles with minnows (the fist time sence spring) and all they caught were small stripers. i had fun catching a little bit of everything. crappie, bream, bass and stripers. i caught them on my hop and drop method which vic and roy no about. i only lost three jigs which is not bad when fishing brush and stumps. all fish were caught on 1/16 jigs with blue ice kalin twister tails with a white crappie nibble. almost forgot i caught several male y/p and white perch. i checked with james and the full moon is at the end of feb and we both said that should be the best time for a bash. almost all the crappie i caught were small but i had a good time catching them all casting. water temps holding at 45. tight lines JIM.B

The last time we had a bash and split the full moons,(end of Jan and end of feb) we fished the third Saturday in Feb. The perch had already spawned. I remember that well because that was the Bash I won. Boscoe and I were the only ones who managed to catch a couple perch that had not spawned yet. I came in first, He came in second. Third place was far behind.

Great Job Jim. Sounds like the Perch are going to have the right attitude.CF

Nice going Jim, I hear ya on the hop and drop. You really caught several different species of fish.

Always good to have something biting. With the south wind the water must have been way up. OK what is a wammy pole?
