Thread: Places to fish Central Va

Looking to head out with my son on tuesday to catch a few crappie. Any suggestions on places to fish with Jon boat and 9.9 near powhatan or Amelia. Was thinking briery creek or sandy river reservoir but don't know much about the crappie fishing in these lakes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

We don't get too many reports about these lakes, but Briery's reputation is better than SR. Depending on where you live, you might want to try Lee (aka Nottoway) Lake (free) and Fort Pickett (permit required.)
