    Default slow but beautiful day

My friend Ernie and I had a real nice day today on the water. The bite was slow, slow but we managed to catch 35 to 40 with some very nice slabs. Fish were scattered and hard to stay on. We would pick one up here and there with no pattern to them. Fished mostly in 13' to 15' and caught them on or near the bottom. Some on jigs, some on minnows and some on jigs tipped with nib-lets. No wind to speak of all day long, would have liked some wind just to move the water but no way.

Nothing wrong with 35-40 on a slow day.

Vic, good report & pictures. One of these days I will be fishing with Gene again and catch 40 fish. I just can't do it here at Claytor.

Do you ever hear from the lady at SML?

Take care and have a good weekend.

Yes Don, we email on occasion. From what I see you really catch quality instead of quantity.
