Default Smith Saturday / Suffolk Sunday

Fished lake Smith for Crappie using various jigs tipped with everything I could find...including minnows (Very little luck)
Tried for Bass with even less luck......... back again for crappie Braving the rain landed 4 fish all day two of which were crappie ended the day with 2 crappie 1 gill 1 bass, 0 keepers.

There were a lot of 1 man boat out today the rain didn't seem to bother them either (see photo)

    Suffolk lake Sunday

Ended the day with a total of approx 30 - 40 fish
most were crappie, as usual most were small (for this lake) I had four at 10+ inch and one at 11 inches
The color for the day was tube red head with a (self blead chartuse tail) I mixed a few of the white tails with Chartuse jigs...
Anyway we caught most on jig tipped with nibblets they outfished minnows nearly 4 to 1

Sorry no pictures nothing really special but we landed a 4lb cat which was pretty cool
Todays catch consisted of 2 cats lots of blugill, not more than 20 crappie
Brought home 15 fish consisting of cats, gills and crappie.

Nice reports, much better than I did. I love fishing Smith but haven't had much luck there yet. Of course, I have only fished there when it was still winter time other than one trip this summer and didn't do to bad then. Still working on figuring out how to track down the crappie. That gives me an idea of a post...

    Mike,

Might have been me (I believe it was a little after 2 closer to 2:30 when I launched) next time say hi. I have wondered a couple times when I am out if I am seeing anyone from the boards. I try to say hi to anyone else out there but sometimes get the feeling that they think I am trying to encroach on their spots or fish. I want to make it to one of the bashes soon (but travel a lot and was gone for the one earlier this year) so I can actually know when I do meet someone from here.
