Well folks...My girlfriend of 30 yrs and I fished the river for 5 hrs Sat. We put in at Moyock Creek and slowly motored out to the big water, hung a right and went south. This trip we had a bucket of small/medium minnows that we fished on jig heads and bobbers. Most fishing was done in shallow water close to the bank and we worked close to the trees. This trip was a late morning mid-afternoon effort. And now for the moment you've been all waiting for....the final tally is......1 yp. But hey, it was a beautiful day. These cooler temperatures are a pleasure.
I'm teaching my wife to drive the boat which is not unlike teaching your kids to drive. I certainly don't mind her company and I have never had a fishing partner that keeps the boat so clean and orderly. We had a lot of fun out there. If you see a bunch of minnows hanging from trees out there trust me....they ain't mine.
Good luck to you all.
