    Default Sat trip

Fished 1/2 day saturday on lake mead. I caught lots of smaller crappie with only 9 keepers over 11" and the wind blew its azz off. Same patterns as the last couple of weeks casting jigs in 10 ft of water blue / clear metal flake 1'16 oz head. Most fish were suppened counting down to 6 ft. I did bring my camera but no decent fish to take pictures of plus my new computer we just got it back from dell and hopefully i can post some pictures. I plan on switching lakes to see which lake is producing better size fish. I did get to meet one of our fellow crappie . Com fisherman. And i forget his name. Good to meet you and i hope you found some fish. Tight lines jim.b

Hey JimB, that was me. It was good meeting you, too! Thanks for keeping me off the stumps! I caught a couple, but am waiting until tonight to post the report from home. Hope to see you out there again.

    Good luck fishing!

    Hey Perc,

The spillway at the ramp was flowing real good/steady. It was my first time there, so I can't compare it to another time.

Makes me wonder if there are any monsters in there. At least you had some fun.

I think I know a spot where some monsters live. Glad to see you have been getting out and catching some.

Thanks for the report. Where is lake Mead in Va.
Keep some for the pan, let the larger ones go back for another day!

Suffolk. There are 6 water supply lakes in Suffolk all restricted to 9.9hp. Oddly, Norfolk has ownership of three of them, Western Branch, Burnt Mills, and Prince, while Portsmouth has Meade, Speight's Run and Cahoon. (as well as Kilby but the lake is closed)
