    Default Burnt Mills Citation

Had a really good day fishing the full moon for shellcracker and gills. Found 2 huge beds in 4-5 foot of water using side imaging. The water was the color of choc milk. Caught close to 150 fish. Had 3 poles going all day long but only got 1 citation. Caught alotta females than were right at 10". Most were caught on red wigglers but a few were caught on crickets.

Awesome job! You really found some fish. I got into them pretty well yesterday at prince. Caught 25 crackers or so. No monsters but did have 3 over 11 inches. Most of the fish i found shallow like you. Never tried for them in burnt mills before. How far up did you find them? To the stump fields?

I saw citation and Burnt Mills and couldn't help but think crappie. Oh well, congrats on your citation of the inferior species.

All of the fish including the citation went back in....The bed locations? One
in the stump field, the other one was in the cove on the backside of the island in the main lake basin.

Now that's a great day fishing!! I was heading to the hump in second lake but never made it there. Got stuck in a cove in main lake catching the jee himmers out of crappie. I tried chartreuse, white, money jig and all worked equally well. To fast and ferrous to keep track. Keep 6 at 10" that made a nice fry.
Oh, my worms drowned and were all dead so I did not get around to cracker fishing, but did get one at ~~8" on the chartreuse jig.

The bite was light, 1/32 head reeled in slowly just enough to keep line tight on the fall, if you felt any heaviness a quick jerk and it was fishon almost every cast.
Birdman, I watched you catch em a couple years ago and I got to say you got the crackers down pat.
