I am posing a question that surely has been asked before, but ideas change and any input would be appreciated.
Question, if you were limited to one bait for Speks what would it be? I realize that live minnows are probably number one so I am referring to artificials. As of right now I am leaning toward a 1/16 oz Roadrunner tipped with black/chartruese 2" twister tailed grub. (If I spelled chartruese right a miracle has ocurred.)

Everyone has their go-to baits, but they vary from fishery to fishery. Multiplying the list, water conditions will dictate different baits at a single river or lake. If I were stocking a small-but-deadly tackle box, it would include 2 to 4 baits per fishery. Naturally, there will be baits that appear on several lists, so after you net out the duplicates, you won't need a very big SBD tackle box.
That will leave lots of space in your boat for the minnow bucket.![]()
Probably a solid white marabou 1/16oz jig ... which is what I was catching Crappie on DECADES before a lot of our current selection of baits were even thought about ... and they still work pretty good, today !! Now, if we're talking today's selection ... probably then it would be a 1/16oz weedless jighead with a solid body baby shad in blue/char or green/char. I'd also would have voted for a chartreuse marabou 1/16oz Roadrunner ... if it weren't for the fact that I can put a weedless jig in a lot more places, and still expect to get it back (with or w/o a fish) !!
Sorry ... no miracles today --- it's spelled Chartreuse (but, you got close !! )

As for me guys, I would chose my white stinger over any bait I seen thus far,its skinnie so I can use a small hook that will not hang as easy as a bigger hook, but if I want it weedless I solder a thin copper wire to it. Like it better than regular weedless
