    A 43" gar should go 8# or more. Diascund holds fish that are much bigger. I hooked several larger ones on Monday, but couldn't get them to the net before they broke off or threw the hook. Even if one made it to the net, my net's not big enough to hoist a really big one out of the water!

    Glad you had a good day! Your pic reminded me--The River and bay was flat in morning also, what a beatiful ride! ( but boat was rocking around by 10)
