Default Merchants Millpond is a wild place

I did catch fish, flier, warmouth and bowfin all on a little chartreuse jig. It is almost like fishing in a forest.

We went past the group campsite, or end of the yellow buoy's. Right at the end of the yellows was a large lilly pad shelf and lots of fish at the edge were jumping. We had kayaks and no electronics to look for holes and such. Did not have time to venture into the last large pond area. I actually took 4 movies and only 3 came out but would not post?? I did more checking out than fishing. Fish I caught were in the sun vs the shade where I was mostly casting. It is a beautiful place and I intend to head back in the fall. Did not see the first alligator, did see a turtle laying eggs on the land. The land is hard to find it all blends in.
