I recognize you, professional guide Chris Craft, and the fish. Given the title of this thread, the background must be Lake Anna. The rest of the post is a bit light on details, however.

Left later than I wanted to but glad I did, winds were 20mph+ ! I checked out Campgrounds and sat around BSing with the guys at marinia, then desided to play around in the small creek the marina is in ( 25+ yrs-never did it) I landed 30+ white perch in the creek! Most were @ 9" fish. @ 10am I desided to take a drive to 522 bridge, it had boats all over it so I went up to a honey hole Chris had showed me. I landed 15 crappie there but most were 7-8" fish.. I tried some other spots, but winds had me bouncing. 19 crappie for the day, 40+ perch.. only 2 over 10" 1-10" and 1-13"..
Crappie perferred minnows today, but the white tripletail did well also. Perch were all over it! ( 3 small stripers caught on jig too)

Plan to try Chick Lake in morning.. Did I hear Ed Allens is closed? Does the other place ( Eagles roost?) have Minnows?

You don't need minnows at Chick Lake, just throw a Kalins Money jig.

Charlie I went last weekend and noticed I had a lot more White perch than crappie on the line. I'm going back this weekend with the kids.
