So happy to catch another citation this spring 16" even 2.2 lbs black the only down side to todays trip I had a 2.8 or so white straighten a hook right at the surface .fished from 6:00am to about 10:30am, spider rigged through and around schools of shad with limited success .but the old sneak attack to the deep cover worked like a charm.found a few ringers this morning to.Name: 100_1853.jpg

Somewhere near Fountainhead. Those mats in the background are unmistakable

    Great job on another citation.

The sneak attack technique sounds interesting. Would like to hear about that one!!!

all fish today were on the main lake deep 5'-8' bite in 10'-20' of water very slow bite if you know the fish r there keep presenting bait they will bite don't give up . I find in the early bite its more run and gun find the fish so to speak . when the water warms up its the comfortable habitat they are use to,[summer home] fish the old trusty spots.then when it gets really hot all the shade you can find . not an expert this is just what works for me.
