Looking at your signature Edward, I have read from a biologist that it is more important to let the males go as they are the one's guarding the nest. While the females do not lay their eggs all at once, the males are constantly guarding the nest. Keeping males and letting the females go can be a losing battle. I suppose it's why some fishermen let both males and females go during the spawn.

Understood, Its just a saying that Ive always heard, liked and tried to practice. Maybe I will read more about the studies on the subject, Thanks. (And Im not changing my sig!!!) Just Kidding!
