    Default Farm Pond Today

Well, I didn't get to go but My Son Ricky and his friend went. They caught 10 crappie, 5 Pumpkinseed, and about 50 bass. They tore the bass up. Caught everything on Pony head jigs and Baby shad stingers. These are all baits I made myself. Crappie were 10 to 11 inches. Bass were a pound to 3 pounds. Pumpkinseed were dinks. The boys put on a show today. All out of a canoe.CF

I imagine that the next best thing has to be that your son got to go and catch a few. Hopefully you will get out in the near future.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

    Hey CF,

Any good fishing around the old dye plant pier on the Chowan? I have some friends that have a place on the river, just below that pier, and they are always asking me to come down. I took my boat down there once, and put in at Arrowhead Beach. Screwed up my prop by hitting some stumps on the way back in though.

Idunno, When the White perch are running back down the river to Edenton Bay in May, You can catch cooler fulls of them off of that pier. That is one of the places every year I hear the first close to home white perch reports.CF
