It's a shame you can't bottle that luck and sell it! You'd be a wealthy man.

When your hot your hot!!! Had an hour of free time so headed across the street to my favorite dock. Wind was howling. Vertical jigged a 1/16 oz blue/chartreuse tube jig tipped with a crappie nibble down 6 to 8 feet deep. Dang missed one, moved about 5 feet further down the dock. BAM! My light action pole bends double, the fish swims under the dock between 2 piling, trouble! Then it turns around and swims straight out. Got a good glimpse of it and realize it's a nice crappie. My heart starts thumping. Get her to the top and work her beside the dock. As I'm reaching out for her I can tell she's going to jump, she does right on my thumb! A solid 16" slab. Still had a few eggs left in her. My buddy took a few quick photos and I eased her back into the water. She makes another nice jump right beside the dock to tell me goodbye. WOW what a way to start. Catch 7 more crappie up to 13" over the next 45 minutes. Time to go. I'm a lucky guy. Here is her picture.

Do you know if there is any brush sunk next to that pier? Sounds like a dream come true, walk across the street and catch a citation crappie. Nice job!
