No brush under the dock for now.
I will sell the hat for $100 anyday.
Lake is not private but access is very limited. Made it on the lake by boat last week, see previous post.
Jim the way my luck is going we need to visit your honey-hole. I'm still looking for a 4 pounder
Looking forward to heading back down to Buggs.

Roy- You live next door to the Res. & probably know more about its status than anyone, but it's my understanding that it's impossible to launch a boat into SCR without crossing private land. Bank fishing is more accessible, but isn't unrestricted public access limited to the sides of the highways that cross the lake? Places like the now-closed launch ramp and the docks you are using are on private property, right? Even though the owners' associations that own and control the lakefront facilities don't restrict walk-ins today, that could change without warning, right?

You are correct. I have access to the docks because as an adjoining neighborhood I'm allowed certain rights on the Brandermill side. I can also join the pool, the country club, etc. but they will no longer let me buy a ramp pass. I don't understand all the rules or restrictions. Walk-ins are restricted, the docks, trails and parks are all posted. They can and will write you up for trespassing.

I talked with Supervisor Dorothy Jaeckle about the "public ramp" on Woodbridge last year when they began the new constructon there and she directed me to an engineer who attempted to overwhelm me with his "knowledge" of the situation, he had none!. Unless a lot of people talk to their representatives about the situation and the lack of public access in the county, NOTHING is going to be done about this. They are much more focused on turning Chester into the next Hull Street corridor, increasing county revenue, and keeping their seats! Didn't the county just decrease most assessments then turn around and increase personal property taxes to make sure no money was lost? Richard, you know how this all works, I'm just a retired Air Force puke who gave about 45 years to my country. Roy, if you join the country club and pay those fees, they should throw in a ramp pass? I used to attend the Masters practice rounds when the tickets were available at the gate, now you have to reserve them like you do the tickets to the actual tournament, there is a waiting list, so, I quit trying, feel the same way about SCR, would be nice to fish it, but not gonna bust a gut for it.

Yep as you stated-----an engineer who attempted to overwhelm me with his "knowledge" -----------
------ Baffle them with BS, seems to be a common saying in county/ state goverment . They just don't understand, no-one is baffled by thier BS we are just use to hearing it and its rude to stop people when thier talking. Overcoming yrs and yrs of BS laws/regs and trying to get back to common sense regs/laws is what so baffling!
    ( by design--- of lawyers!)

:edit: I am stepping off my soap box now :D

Good job! My grandson and I went to diascund yesterday and battled the wind for a couple of hours. Caught one small bass and gave up. He is on spring break and wanted to go no matter what. It was a lousy day to try to fish, but he had a good time.
