Hey Charlie if it is just old fuel 1 or 2 gal in a 30-35 gal tank isn't going to hurt a thing. Just make sure you have a 10 micron water seperator filter installed. You don't want any trash that may be in the tank getting into your motor. I had that problem with the boat I use to have. I had to replace the filter twice within about 4-5 months. After that no more problems from trash.

I bought a fuel filter before I even started working on motor! ( I even keep 1or 3 of them in my SW boat) and I am replacing old fuel lines from tank to motor.
I drained carbs and flushed with carb cleaner ( yes trash in carbs). Motor is starting and running like new ( off new fuel)
The old fuel out of boat is running just fine in my truck! ( 5gal boat-15g new gas) haven't tested with load ( towing boat) but, I feel there will be no problems. I guess fuel has not seperated yet. (really bad)
Thank for suggestions , making sure I don't forget anything..

Just be sure to use marine stabil or Sea Foam religiously, you should be OK. Congrats on the new rig!

I don't know if anyone here remebers, but I bought a Fish TV (underwater camera)
I could not show a flashklight in tank but knew I had most of the gas out, weel the camera has led lighting and it would not fit thru sending unit hole but It gave me a good vien of whats left inside. Very little gas!! and some trash. So filters and new gas here I come! I plan to mount 2nd filter , one I can see clearly inside of at least for a while!

When I bought my boat I had water in my tank. I pulled tank and cleaned it out. Was a pain but I didn't want any trash left in it. Used rags and heavy wire for chain link fench to clean.
