    ...and almost a crappie. :D


    Doodlum & I actually DID catch crappie--a combined total of 125 - 150. Ninteen were keepers, but none were whoppers.


    Both minnows and jigs worked well, but they had to be deep. Most fish were holding close to the bottom.

    The Diascund weather was great and WT is now 48* - 49*!


    Perhaps the best news of the day is that the grass is disappearing rapidly.

    Anybody else notice an uncanny resemblance in that first picture, the lips, the beady eyes, the bellies, like two creatures that have been transported from an era far in the past to present times?

    Landing that critter on a telescoping 14' pole had to be fun! I hooked one on spinnerbait yrs ago , it turned spinnerbait into a paperclip and spit it back at me. Very powereful for te short time I had it hooked.
