Anna is working on me, the same way ( my limit is 10-12")! 9.5" ones has me looking at shoulders to see if they are keepers! (Big ones are there at both places, I would say Anna is just bigger so its harder, but from posts - its not any harder)

I think more important than the size slot is to practice catch and release and not bring home the limit every time you go out.

I haven't had that problem too often this year. (38 trips ended with a total catch - including mega-dinks - of less than 25.)

Thank you for sharing this. First, let me say I'm glad to hear that things worked out the way they did. Just 2 weeks ago down here in the local small town Ga papers I was reading an editorial piece from a thankful wife who was thanking the EMT's for saving her husband. He was actually a firefighter himself and he complained about some chest pain and she stopped at a local fire dept and asked them to just make sure he wasn't having a heart attack. 10 minutes later he was out on his feet and they were hooking up the defibrillator.

In these past 2-3 months for the first time in my life I'm thinking about working out & eating right not for my weight or fitting into clothes but for health. I'll be 33 years old in March and for the first time in my life starting to think about heart health. Stories like this bring it home for sure.

Its funny you should mention firefighter. One of them in Forks Over Knives had like super high blood pressure and they ended up changing their diets and his blood pressure came way down. We lost my uncle last year because of his blood pressure when a blood vessel in the base of his brain ruptured. The time to take care of yourself is now not when you have already had an issue of some kind you might not live through it as there would have been no way to save my uncle. Anyway I hope everyone has a great weekend.

    Happy Holidays,
