Thanks to everybody for the kind words. Mainly wanted to provoke a little thought on being as safe on the water as we can. Would hate to read anything else about empty vehicles and trailers on the ramp after dark.

Sure glad to hear you are OK. I've been down that road and it isn't fun.

glad your o.k. now that they have fixed your problem do not be afraid to get back out there. i had the same problem 3 years ago and i fill better now than i have for years. i was lucky. my heart doctor told me i had a 100% blocked vein but two small vessels feed around the blocked vein so i never had any heart damage. doc said i was lucky. my best friend said that god blessed me. god has given you a second chance now change your diet and no smoking if you smoke. thank god and get back out there. tite lines JIM.B. see ya out there
Mike - Thanks for sharing this experience. It's a good reminder, not just for those of us who are over 60, but for everyone. When a crisis begins unfolding, lives will be saved or lost depending on the responses by everyone on hand. Your buddies knew what to do, but how many of us would know how to handle a similar event? I'm very happy they reacted quickly and correctly so we will enjoy your contributions to these discussions for many years to come.
Bill- This thread and other reports of life-threatening emergencies should be grouped for everyone's reference. Maybe Slab can set up an "Emergency!" forum on the main board so all C.c users can benefit from these sobering reports of health emergencies, boating accidents, fires, hypothermia, and all the other life-threatening situations. As Mike says, emergencies on the water can be much worse than the same emergency on land.
Glad things worked out for you and thanks for the lesson learned about being safe.
As soon as your cath holes heal up, you are going to feel like a new man. A part of your heart is getting good oxygen rich blood again. You will notice the difference. Enjoy your new energy and thanks for the heads up.

Texas Pete I am really glad to hear you are ok, my heart problems started a day before I turned 35 and now have 5 stents and 7 ballon ops . Make sure you walk when you can and only as much as you are comfortable with. I am now 50 and still have some discomfort from time to time but seem to be ok. My wife forbides me from going out by myself I think she is wrong some times but then you hear about the guy last week . God bless you and wish you a speedy recovery.
