Default No Joy on the Appomattox

The water was too muddy, the wind was against us, the tide was against us, I forgot my good luck charm, there were people in my regular spots, I didn't have a good breakfast, IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!!!!

I was just trying to think of all the lame excuses why we caught 2 dinks from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday. We fished the same spots I have lately and basically got skunked. Seriously, it was muddy, windy, and low tide was at 9:30 am. Water temp was 44. Tried minnows and jigs. I've been pretty quick to report my good luck, so I thought I'd share the bad days as well.

Hope you have better luck next time Brad.

I played hooky from work today, It was so nice out I had to go fishing. Managed 2 crappie and 2 white perch from the Chick Res this morning. Fog was thick as pea soup. Took me 1/2 hour to get to my spot.

    Jeff:

You were supposed to say "Don't worry they'll be back next week and if they're not, come on down to Toano and I'll show you all of my good spots"!!!

Wink Gee whiz buddy I ain't like that.

Oh heavens no. I see you think I was being less than gracious. What I meant
is the electroshocking team from VGIF were just at Diascund and said there are no fish in it. None. Was looking out for your best interests trying to save you wasted trip & gas. Guess someone fished it out too. I know I will not be going there Wednes... er, anytime soon.:D

    Jeff:
Thanks! As expensive as gas is, I would hate to drive down there and get skunked. And if the VGIF guy said it, you know it has to be true. :p

    Fishdoc:
I've been to Buggs a few times and have had luck only around the bridges. I need some help. After you tell me some of what you know, I'll tell you all of what I know.....should take me about 10 seconds.

Then again you stick with what you know. Not many men will branch out into other techniques if the one he likes is working. So in other words now that that bridges is dried up he's ready to branch out.:D
