The water was very muddy. I know what you mean as far as fishing buddies go. My twins are 15 and they still love to fish with me. I don't know how long it's going to last, so I'm enjoying it while I can!

Life's too short to fish with dead minnows!
You guys are right -on about the fishing buddies. My son fished with me from the time he could walk up until he went to school @ William and Mary. We went through some "muddy water" for about 2 years but now he is back living with me while he goes for his master's @ ODU.Originally Posted by brad reedy

"Where is the best place to launch on the Appomattox?? Brad how does your boat do on the rivers? With those 2 boys is it getting a bit crowded? I have a 17 year old myself, he loves to fish. I also have twin 3 year olds that Im giving the fishin bug to. Thanks in advance for any info."

I put in at whats known as the "Small Boat Harbor" off Puddledock Road. The attached link to their website has directions. I have been taking a left out of the harbor and fishing under the Temple Avenue Bridge and have been having some pretty good luck. http://www.appomattoxboatharbor.com/
As far as the PT 175 goes, it is a great river boat. It definitely can get a little cramped with 3 of us fishing. We generally take turns fishing from the middle. We fished a lot out of a 14' jon boat, so the PT 175 still feels pretty luxurius. Hope this helps.

Congradulations on your son's success and still having him in the boat with you. The time spent on the water has obivously had a positive impact.

Brad is not lucid. His sons tell him where to go and how to fish. He is merely a passenger in the boat. If his boys could drive the truck and afford the gas, Brad wouldbe forced to stay at home. I hate to be negative but im just keeping it real.
