What do you do when you get past 20? Warn me before that happens so I can cover my eyes!

A 1/16 ounce jig falls in water at the rate of about 1 foot per second. To fish the jig 7 feet deep, cast out past the target area, count to 7 (1 one thousand, 2 one thousand, etc...), and start your retrieve. The idea is to stay just above the structure.

had brad you wished lol.keith i also thought that was how it worked, but it doesn`t work that way,if you want it to fall 7ft you have to count to 12.it all depends on the line you use and what type of lead the head is made of and also the type of body you have on the jig.i know it sounds stupid but i worked on it for 2 weeks.then you have to pratice on the retrieve and the bounce of the jig,and then you have to watch the line at the same time.

You just need to count a little slower. The last couple of parts are very true. I can't count (pun intended) the times I saw the bite and set the hook without ever feeling the fish. It takes a great deal of effort and experience to do it right.
